It's very expensive for a book printed in black and white. Also, it would have been nice if both Jill and the silk were more contrasting in color, because sometimes it is difficult to tell exactly what is going on. I really appreciate her youtube videos, and I feel like the cost of this is, in a way, going towards those. She is very talented and very good at explaining a lot of difficult moves. I can't decide if this book is a three or a four star resource, but I am glad she authored it and put it out there.Product details

Currently beyond my skill level but helps me understand the reason for the basics.
The lack of color in the pictures was disappointing. I thought maybe this was a knock-off that someone copied and rebound to sell on . It's the real deal, and if you don't fully understand the verbal directions, it makes it difficult to see where the silks should be placed on your body.
I love this book, using it as a alternative for keeping a book of what I have done in aerial. Great step by step guide. This is not intended to be a self taught book.
The 'Look Inside" does not show Jill's black and white photo shots. The pictures are small and difficult to figure out because Jill and the fabrics are blending together. If the book cover shows red silks, then it would have made sense to use red silks inside the book. The book is a bit pricey. Probably would have been even more pricey with color photography!
As other reviewers have mentioned, this book is in black and white print which made me feel quite deceived since the "look inside" section shows all the pages in color!! The pictures that it does have are very small and hard to see the fabric well due to the print. Also I found this book to lack a certain depth in its descriptions of moves. I am still a beginner at Aerial so this book does have a decent amount of tricks to inspire me, but again without clear pictures or more in depth descriptions I am having a hard time figuring things out.
This book really begins with the beginner content that you learn in the first ten hours of proper training. Although it includes a drop and multiple climb styles, I was expecting more challenging content. The information is useful, but it wasn't exactly what I was after. As with anything in circus, there is a concern over liability, and then there's the adage that you always hold a little bit back to keep the audience wanting more. The book itself is of high quality, well-edited, and the illustrations and visuals are suitable and numerous. The best book ever written about circus is your own training journal.
I really didn't feel as though this book has a whole lot of information to offer. I've been doing aerial for about 6 months now. The pictures weren't great. I returned it. There are far better books on for aerial yoga poses and techniques (Soaring with the Soul).
